Mistellius, a centre for contemporary visual art, is an artist-run centre dedicated to the presentation and promotion of Russian and international contemporary visual art and related cultural practices. A central concern of Mistellius is to support a diversity of national and international artists of various stages of their careers.

Mistellius presents solo and group exhibitions and a wide range of activities which include: art forums, performances, art tours, residence programmes, international master-classes, publications and special events.

Mistellius is dedicated to fostering artistic research and development. The broad range of programming reflects diverse approaches to the creation, expression and presentation of art.

Mistellius also works with other organisations and centres. Participation with other art groups in international projects is beneficial to us and to our members as this creative co-operation widens opportunities and cultural perspectives in the field of contemporary visual art.

Mistellius also supports those young people just beginning their career and maintains closes ties with the children art studio.
